EM 3000 Estap Smart PDU Installation Notes-1

Estap Smart PDU
Estap Smart PDU devices are a collection of modules that must be used in places that need to be kept under constant control such as System room or Datacenter. It is possible to find these devices, which are presented to the user in modular structure, in every brand and model in the market.

The other day, I had the opportunity to review the Estap brand EM 3000 model Smart PDU device, which is manufactured in our country. I would like to share with you the installation information and review notes of the device.

Our Estap Smart PDU(Protocol Data Unit) device works just like a workplace security alarm. Every intervention to the environment and every change in ambient conditions are detected by smart sensors and transmitted to the central processing unit.
These values are interpreted in the central processing unit and necessary tasks are triggered according to user definitions. Thus, the environment where the PDU device is installed is kept under control at all times. The measurements and detections made under the main headings in the Smart PDU system are as follows:
- Ambient Temperature: The temperature of the environment is collected by one or more thermometer sensors and sent to the device. These values are monitored every second and alarms are generated or not according to the configurations made by the user from the management panel. Temperature information can be taken at desired intervals and a statistic can be created. Again, in line with the user’s definition, a siren can be operated or a backup air conditioner can be operated thanks to the relay system of the Smart PDU.
- Humidity Sensor : It works similar to the temperature sensor. The only difference is that it measures the humidity value of the environment and the central processing unit generates an alarm when it reaches critical levels determined by the user.
- Current Balance Sensor: It measures the load balance and voltage values in the current that feeds the current Datacenter and sends them to the PDU. An alarm is generated when the values defined by the user are exceeded.
- Water Sensor : Water sensors to be used against any risk of flooding or flooding are left on the ground and activated at a certain water height or liquid contact and the PDU generates an alarm.
- Smoke Sensor: With one or more smoke sensors to be placed against the risk of fire and ignition, an alarm is generated before the danger occurs and can trigger the extinguishing system according to the user definition.
- Heat sensor : Generates an alarm if the ambient temperature reaches very high values (in case of fire).
- Door Sensor : Thanks to the magnetic door detector, datacenter entrance-exit and emergency doors can be kept under control. A user-defined alarm is generated in case of opening or staying open for a long time.
- Motion Sensor : With motion (PIR) sensors to be placed in the environment, the PDU generates an alarm when unwanted movements or interventions occur in the environment.
- Proximity Card Sensor : Personnel cards and access authorizations of the people who will enter the Datacenter are determined. Also logging is done.
