Remote Desktop Port Switching

Remote Desktop Port Switching (RDSP)
The standard port used for remote access in Windows-based operating systems is “3389″. You can increase your security by changing the remote desktop port…
We can do this through regedit.
Start > Run > Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-TcpWindows RegistryWhen you change the base of the PORT NUMBER Dword value from the PORT NUMBER section to decimal value, you will see the standard port number 3389. Let’s save and close the changes by giving this value a value between 0-65000 values. After restarting our computer, the port number will change.
It was recently leaked that Remote Desktop, the Remote Desktop Application, will be removed with a decision taken by Microsoft. This decision seems to have been influenced by the risks posed by security vulnerabilities on the Remote Desktop port.
