Change Enterasys Password

In Extreme Network Switches, it is recommended to change the admin password periodically for security reasons. We will show how to change the Enterasys password on the CLI-console side separately for S-Series, C-Series and 800-Series enterasys switches.

800-Series Enterasys Switch – Admin Password Change

config account admin

and press enter, you will be prompted for the old password at the bottom. After entering the old password, you will be prompted for your new password twice in a row.

S-Series and C-Series Extreme Network Switches – Admin Password Change

set password

and press enter, you will be prompted for the old password at the bottom. After entering the old password, you will be prompted for your new password twice in a row.
